Gordon is a Professor of Microbiology within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing at the University of Glasgow. He is the founder of the Glasgow Medical Mycology Group and Glasgow Biofilm Research Network.
Ignacio Martin-Loeches is a Consultant of Intensive Care Medicine at St James’s University Hospital, Dublin. He is Professor of Clinical Medicine at Trinity College Dublin, where he is Research Director of the Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Research Organisation (MICRO).
Malcolm Richardson is a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Mycology at the NHS Mycology Reference Centre, ECMM Centre of Excellence, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He is a Professor of Medical Mycology at the University of Manchester and a Fellow of the European Confederation of Medical Mycology Academy.
Rosemary Barnes is an Emeritus Professor of Medical Microbiology at the School of Medicine at Cardiff University. Prior to retirement she was a Consultant for Public Health Wales at the University Hospital of Wales and Consultant Microbiologist at the Mycology Regional Reference Unit, Public Health Wales.
Samir Agrawal is a Senior Lecturer in Haematology at Queen Mary University of London. He is also a Consultant Haemato-oncologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Barts Health NHS Trust, London.
Lewis White leads the Public Health Wales Mycology Regional Reference Unit and is a fellow of the European Confederation of Medical Mycologists and the Royal College. He is also a member of the Royal College of Pathologists and leads the laboratory working party of the Fungal PCR initiative. Lewis is Meeting Secretary for the British Society for Medical Mycology and the Vice President of the Welsh Microbiological Association.
Lily Novak Frazer is a lecturer in Medical Mycology at the University of Manchester, based at Wythenshawe Hospital. She is also a Senior Molecular Scientist for the Mycology Reference Centre Manchester, also based at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Tom Rogers is Professor of Clinical Microbiology at Trinity College Dublin. He is Consultant Microbiologist at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, where he is also Clinical Director of the Irish Mycobacteria Reference Laboratory (IMRL). Tom is a Fellow of the European Confederation of Medical Mycology Academy.
Tihana Bicanic is a Reader in infectious diseases at St George’s University of London and an honorary Consultant at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust. She is also a Fellow of the European Confederation of Medical Mycology Academy.
Silke Schelenz is a Consultant Microbiologist at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She is the Clinical Lead for Infection Sciences and Viapath Laboratory Director.
Ruth Ashbee is an independent mycologist and consultant at Ashbee Healthcare Consultancy Ltd and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Leeds. Ruth is an experienced medical mycologist who has worked in the Mycology Reference Centre in Leeds for over 15 years, lectured in many universities and centres in the UK and abroad, and delivered mycology training courses for over 20 years. She is the author of the online diagnostic course for ISHAM.
Matthew Fisher is a Professor of Fungal Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology at the American Society for Microbiology and is a Fellow in the CIFAR program ‘Fungal Kingdom: Threats and Opportunities’
