GAIN 2020: Case study submission

The GAIN meetings provide an opportunity for clinical and academic professionals to share their experience and expertise through case studies.

As part of the GAIN programme, you are invited to submit a case study to Gilead Sciences Ltd. and the GAIN Steering Committee in advance of the 2020 GAIN meeting.

All submissions will be assessed for their relevance and educational content by the GAIN Steering Committee and one applicant will be chosen to present at GAIN 2020. Case studies must be submitted to gain@pollenhealth.com.

Guidance and criteria

Your case study should be constructed within the template provided and ensure it meets all of the following criteria:

• The case is a patient whose environment, treatment or lifestyle was suspected to have contributed to their fungal infection
• Has an interesting and relevant learning point
• Showcases a challenge in the approach to the management of that case
• Includes a brief case, history, management approach, outcome and key learnings/questions
• Will take no longer than ten minutes to present on the provided PowerPoint template
• Includes high quality images
• The case has not been discussed with any of the attending Steering Committee
• The patient has freely given their specific, informed consent to their case study (without patient identifiable information) being shared with Gilead Sciences Ltd. and presented at a medical education meeting organised by Gilead Sciences Ltd.

Please note: The main structure of the template should not be amended – although additional information slides under each section can be added. This is to standardise all entries.
